The outbreak of COVID-19 has isolated everyone physically from the outside world. Schools and colleges are still shut down. But, that doesn’t mean students are lacking behind academically. Online classes are going all over the world. It is not limited to academics only, but it includes a lot of other activities.

The ease of conducting these online classes is possible with the help of the mobile app development companies. These companies bring new features and upgrade the earlier ones, continuously evolving.

Every development or invention also has some loopholes, instead of the brighter prospect. In this article, I will give an idea to both sides of online classes. First, I will tell the pros and then the cons.

Pros of Online Classes

In this time of lockdown, everyone has become technologically dependent. You connect with your closed ones through various mobile apps. In this quarantine, when you have time to learn and explore new things. You have got all the time you always seek to. The role of technology comes here. How technology can help during quarantine?

  • Convenient teaching and learning

Teaching online has become very convenient for most of the teachers. Earlier, due to traveling to their centers, continuous classes, the schedule was hectic. There was no self-time for their own research. But, now they can discuss their work with their students during their class. The learning process becomes interactive.

Students are much benefitted in this process. They have become much freer to ask questions during an interaction. Also, due to recording features available, they can access the class later if they have missed.

Apart from academics, if you enroll for other extra courses, you get to know people around the globe. You can interact with them and help each other in the learning process.

Since you have enough time left in a day, you can learn other skills online like painting, designing, or playing an instrument.

  • Expense gets reduced

The cost of learning gets reduced when you shift to online mode. Mobile app development companies try to make available most of the applications available for free. You can just download it and attend your class.

You are not going to your school or college, only you have to pay the tuition fees. The extra cost for maintenance is getting cut. All you need is a stable internet connection to work over as you like.

  • Encouraging Creativity

The online mode of teaching has brought the creative side of the people. Teachers are providing assignments to students which involve research, thinking, and application. Earlier, this was not done. Exams are basically analytical questions so that the understanding of the student can be focussed.

Apart from academics, students have explored their creative mind in writing, painting, dancing, singing, or any form of other extracurricular activities.

Cons of Online Classes

If there is something good, there is something bad too. You cannot escape the law of nature. There are some cons online teaching that you should also learn.

  • Access to Technology

Many people living in the outskirts, or the interior, do not have access to technology much. A stable internet connection is not there in everyone’s house. This arises and hinders the process of learning. In the process of teaching also, if you face poor connectivity then it becomes a problem to convey your thoughts.

  • Deprived of Social Skills

Being confined to the boundary and learning can increase knowledge, but no skills. Prolonged online teaching can hamper the social life of a student. Communication problem may arise and lack of conveying their thoughts.

Schools and universities promote the all-around development of a student. It includes important social skills. You cannot communicate over technology for a long time.

  • Over-Flexible

A mobile app development company introduces learning applications that have the facility to record classes. This flexible learning process does more harm than good. Students do not keep pay heed during live classes, thinking the record will help. Many of them do not listen or focus on that recording later. This affects and constructs the learning process of an individual.
